Sugar and Spice

As I watched a neighborhood boy ride his bike as fast as he could into the bushes and crash over and over again I couldn't help but wonder what our house would be like with a little boy around.  Don't get excited, two girls complete our family....but, boys are so different.  Our girls are pretty darn fun these days.  Their imaginations are so wonderfully fascinating to me.  One minute they are mommies and the next minute they are shooting the bad guys.  I know, not politically correct these days, but what can I say...they have a sniper for a father.  The friendship continues to grow and their interactions are so cute.  They seem to create new scenarios each day.  I have been meaning to capture the fun with my camera, but what can I say, that hasn't happened lately.

But here are some, I know this is why you come here :)  Here is a fun afternoon at 10 Barrel with Grammy and Papa.  It was an unusually bright and sunny April weekend.  Actually, we got sunburned during lunch.  A small price to pay for the beautiful weekend!

We were so happy to have my mom and dad spend Easter with us.  The girls had an awesome weekend:

As I am browsing photos I am realizing that I haven't totally missed documenting the shenanigans at our house.  This is Elise's bed.  The girls planned a slumber party for their animals.  Adorable!

Often they appear downstairs in costume.  Mostly likely a pink princess and Woody.  I found them styling each others hair the other day.  Elise is actually pretty darn good at fixing Lauren's hair and Lauren loves the special attention from her big sister.

And the other happening at Dayspring Drive is our washer.  A sensor went out and it flooded our rental.  Bummer.  We had 10 fans in the house for 5 days, it was quite an ordeal.  We are currently enjoying peace and quite and the fact that none of our furniture was ruined.  As you can see, the girls took this opportunity to find some fun.

Silly girls, I couldn't imagine life without them.  So blessed by our family and the joys that our girls bring each day.
